Meeting Brief
The Meeting Brief is an AI-generated prep doc you can pull up directly from any upcoming meeting in ORCA. It pulls together everything ORCA knows about the people you are meeting, the companies involved, and what has been happening recently, then hands it to you as a tight, readable brief.
The brief covers who is in the room, recent contact, previous meetings, open to-dos, active records (deals, mandates, projects, or any custom section linked to those companies), recent news, and a short list of talking points to get you started.
How to use it
Open any upcoming meeting in ORCA. If the meeting date is today or in the future, a Prep button will appear at the top of the page.
Click Prep. ORCA gathers the context and passes it to the AI. The brief appears in a panel on screen, usually within a few seconds.
From there you have two options.
Copy puts the full brief on your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you need it.
Email to me sends the brief to your ORCA account email address, formatted and ready to read on any device.
What goes into the brief
ORCA builds context from across the platform before sending anything to the AI:
- The meeting details: type, date, location, counterpart companies and contacts, internal attendees.
- Recent communications with the counterpart companies (emails, calls, notes), most recent first.
- Previous meetings with the same counterparts, including any follow-up notes.
- Open to-dos linked to the counterpart companies.
- Active records in any custom section that are linked to the counterpart companies. For most accounts this is where deals, mandates, or opportunities will show up.
- News articles linked to those companies from the last 30 days, if the News plugin is active.
The AI reads all of this and writes the brief. It does not invent facts. If a section has nothing to draw on, it says so.
Talking points
The brief ends with a short list of specific talking points based on everything above. These are intended as a starting point, not a script. The AI picks the most relevant threads from the context and turns them into concrete topics worth raising in the meeting.
A few things worth knowing
The Prep button only appears on upcoming meetings, meaning today or later. It will not appear on historic meetings.
The brief is generated fresh each time. If you add notes or update records between now and the meeting, clicking Prep again will produce an updated brief.
ORCA's terminology for meetings follows your account settings. If your organisation uses a different word (calls, interactions, or something else), the brief will use that word throughout.
The AI never sends anything outside your account. The Email to me option sends to your own ORCA email address only.
